Governing Board: The Library is governed by a board of trustees approved by the Kentucky Department for Libraries and the McCreary County Fiscal Court. Board appointments are for four years and members are eligible for two consecutive terms. An advisory board serves as a training field for potential board members and has the power to make a motion and to discuss matters of business at library board meetings but has no voting privileges. The regular schedule for board meetings is the last Thursday of each month at 5:00 pm, with any changes in scheduled meetings posted in the library.
